Looking for the ultimate countryside day trip? Experiencing chilgok sheep farm daegu travel is something you absolutely cannot miss! Hello everyone, and welcome back to my authentic Korean daily travel vlog. Today, my husband and I decided to escape the busy city streets of Daegu and drive out to the beautiful, rolling green hills of nearby Chilgok.
If you are a nature lover, a family traveling with kids, or someone who simply adores cute animals, this place is a hidden paradise. Surrounded by fresh mountain air and scenic landscapes, it is the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the peaceful side of South Korea. Let me share our magical, lucky afternoon with you!
1. Feeding Adorable Baby Lambs and Goats
The main highlight of chilgok sheep farm daegu travel is the incredible, hands-on interaction you get with the animals. Unlike standard zoos where you can only watch from afar, here you can get up close and personal with hundreds of fluffy sheep and goats!
Upon entering, you can get baskets of dry hay and small bottles of milk. Walking into the feeding zone, we were greeted by dozens of enthusiastic, adorable baby lambs. Holding the milk bottle and watching the cute lambs eagerly drink from it was an incredibly heartwarming experience. You can also walk up the grassy paths to see the larger adult sheep grazing freely on the hills. It is an amazing sensory experience that connects you deeply with nature.
2. Finding Good Luck: The Four-Leaf Clover
While walking around the wide green pastures, something truly amazing happened. As I was looking down at the grass, I spotted a perfect, rare four-leaf clover!
In Korea, just like in many cultures around the world, finding a four-leaf clover is a symbol of incredible good luck and unexpected fortune. It felt like a special blessing from nature during our beautiful trip. My friends and followers on social media were so excited when I shared it! This farm is filled with beautiful wild clover fields, so if you visit, make sure to look closely at the ground—you might just find your own piece of luck too!

3. Premium Fresh Goat Milk and Yogurt
After a long, wonderful walk around the farm, we stopped by the local snack shop to try their famous dairy products. They sell fresh, locally produced Goat Milk and Goat Milk Yogurt for 5,000 KRW (around $3.80 USD) each.
I have tried many different types of dairy before, but this was on a completely different level. Both the milk and the yogurt were incredibly thick, rich, and deeply savory without any strong, unpleasant gamey odor. The yogurt had the perfect balance of sweetness and natural tanginess that instantly refreshed us after our walk. Spending 5,000 KRW for such high-quality, organic farm-to-table treats is worth every single penny. You can easily locate the farm and check the driving route from downtown Daegu on Google Maps.
